This co-educational IAPS Junior School of Framlingham College is situated 4 miles from Framlingham and run as a separate unit with its own staff. Brandeston Hall is a fine listed Jacobean style building dating back to the sixteenth century, in its own 26 acre grounds on the banks of the Deben.
The school is excellently equipped with 18 purpose-built classrooms, a self-contained Pre-Prep wing, Junior and Senior Science and Technology Laboratories, Art Studio and Ceramics centre, Design & Technology block, well-equipped IT Room, specialist Music Room and music practice rooms. Music plays an important part in school life, with orchestras, wind band and choirs giving many opportunities for children to participate. Common Rooms and Gymnasium also complement and enhance the opportunities for both day and boarding children. A new multi-purpose Hall and Design and Technology block have just been completed to further improve the facilities of the school.
Brandeston Hall is noted for its sporting tradition and facilities include over 20 acres of playing fields, covered heated swimming pool, floodlit all-weather surface (hockey or six tennis courts) and nine hole, bunkered golf course.
Boarding is firmly based on extended family units, run by young married members of teaching staff committed to caring for children. Girl boarders have small dormitories in a purpose-built wing and boys are housed in comfortable family dormitories in the main building.
The school provides a broad education, enabling children to grow in an open, friendly and caring environment. A well-qualified teaching staff ensure all children reach their full potential. Excellent contact with parents, whether home or abroad, guarantees full involvement with children's progress.
